The Board Candidates
Michael Althaus
I am seeking this opportunity because I believe a strong community is built through communication, accountability, collaboration, and a genuine commitment to the people who call our neighborhood home. Throughout my career, I have developed strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. My professional experience has taught me the importance of listening to different perspectives, addressing concerns respectfully, making informed decisions, and following through on commitments. I believe these qualities are equally important when serving our community. As an HOA board member, my goal would be to help create a neighborhood where residents feel heard, respected, and informed. I would encourage open and professional communication between the Board, homeowners, and our community partners. I also believe HOA decisions should be approached thoughtfully and consistently, with consideration for both the needs of individual homeowners and the long-term interests of the entire community. I would be committed to promoting responsible stewardship of our neighborhood, including maintaining our common areas, supporting property values, encouraging community involvement, and ensuring HOA resources are managed responsibly. When challenges arise, I believe in addressing them directly and working collaboratively toward practical solutions rather than allowing issues to go unresolved. Most importantly, I want to serve because I care about our community and want to contribute my time, experience, and perspective to making it an even better place to live. I would bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic, fairness, and a willingness to listen. I would be grateful for the opportunity to earn your support and serve our community as an HOA Board member.

HCAD (Harris County Appraisal Board) ARB-Appraisal Review Board. Appointed by Judge Tad Talbach to resolve disputes by mediation. App. for 6 Years.Work HistoryGlenmore Distillery (12) Yrs.Anheuser-Busch (20) YrsAllen Brown Consulting (15 Yrs) (Contracting with Anheuser-Busch) HOA Board Greentree in Kingwood (3 Yrs) I have lived in the Groves for 3.8 Hrs. As I drive around our community, I see considerable "deed restriction violations" that are not getting fixed! This is hurting property values! The present board does not have the experience to understand what needs to be done to get property values to go up. This must change and the only way to do this is to get ALL new board members! For years CCMC has used selective enforcement when it comes to violations. The present board has followed their path. If property values are to grow, we must stop this practice. As someone who has attended most of the meetings, I can assure homeowners the present board has no desire to change anything pertaining to (Deed Restrictions Violations) Present board is in violation Open meetings act, Open records act, not transparent, and refuses to keep the citizens informed! This entire board needs to go!! Please VOTE for Allen Brown and let’s get our property back on line to GROW!

Eddie Esparza
My name is Eddie Esparza, and I am asking for your support for a position on our neighborhood Board. My family and I are proud to call this community home, and I believe serving on the Board is an opportunity to help protect what we have invested in while continuing to make our neighborhood an even better place to live and raise our families. Professionally, I am a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and have spent my career working in high-responsibility environments where communication, sound judgment, accountability, and teamwork matter. Outside of work, I am actively involved in youth baseball as a coach and team organizer. Those experiences have taught me that strong organizations require people who are willing to listen, make difficult decisions when necessary, and always keep the interests of the larger group in mind. If elected, I would bring that same approach to the Board. I believe homeowners deserve transparency regarding how decisions are made and how our association’s money is spent. I support responsible management of our community’s finances, consistent and reasonable enforcement of neighborhood standards, preservation of property values, and thoughtful improvements that provide real value to residents. I am not running because I believe everything needs to change. I am running because I believe good communities stay good when residents are willing to become involved.I would be honored to represent my neighbors and help ensure our community remains a place we are proud to call home.

I am seeking the opportunity to serve on The Groves Board of Directors because I believe where we live should be more than a neighborhood. It should be a thriving community where residents feel heard, informed, valued, and confident that the decisions being made today will protect what we have built and strengthen where we are going. As a U.S. Air Force veteran, healthcare executive, and community servant, I have spent my career leading people, managing complex operations, overseeing resources, solving problems, and making decisions where accountability matters. I understand that strong leadership is not simply having a seat at the table. It is being willing to listen, ask difficult questions, communicate transparently, and remain accountable to the people you represent. If elected, I will bring that same commitment to The Groves. My priorities are responsible stewardship of our community resources, transparency and communication between residents and the Board, preservation of our property values and amenities, and thoughtful decision-making that considers both our current needs and the future of our community. Most importantly, I will be a voice for our residents. I believe every homeowner deserves to know that their concerns are taken seriously and their investment in this community is being protected. The Groves is our home. Its continued success requires leaders who are willing not only to serve, but to be present, prepared, engaged, and accountable.I am ready to serve, ready to listen, and ready to work alongside my neighbors to ensure The Groves continues to be a community we are proud to call home.

My Fellow Neighbors, Serving on The Groves Homeowners Association Board has been an opportunity to give back to a community I genuinely care about. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together and would be honored to continue serving and building on that progress. To me, The Groves is more than our homes, streets, and amenities. It’s the neighbors, families, and shared commitment that make this a special place to call home.I believe a strong Board should be approachable, transparent, and open to different perspectives. Serving means showing up, listening, staying engaged, and doing the work behind the scenes. While we may not always agree, homeowners should feel heard and confident that decisions are made thoughtfully, fairly, and in the best interests of the entire community.During my time on the Board, I’ve focused on responsible financial management, protecting property values, maintaining and improving our community, and planning for the future. I believe in asking questions, considering the facts, evaluating long-term impacts, and being good stewards of the resources entrusted to us.Looking ahead, I want to preserve what residents love about The Groves while identifying meaningful opportunities to make our community even better. That means caring for our shared spaces, making fiscally responsible decisions, communicating openly, applying standards fairly and consistently, and supporting opportunities that bring neighbors together. It has been an honor to serve my neighbors. I hope to continue earning your trust through hard work, thoughtful leadership, responsible decision-making, and a genuine commitment to The Groves.Thank you for your support and the opportunity to continue serving the community we are all proud to call home.
Langston Patterson
My name is Langston Patterson, and I would be honored to have the opportunity to serve on The Groves Board of Directors. My family and I are proud to call The Groves home. This is where we are raising our family, building relationships, and making memories, so I truly care about the direction of our community and what it will look like for years to come. I also believe there is already a lot that is good about The Groves. We have a beautiful neighborhood, great amenities, families who care about their community, and neighbors who want to see it continue to grow in a positive direction. For me, serving on the Board would not be about coming in and trying to change everything. It would be about recognizing what we do well, listening to where there are needs, and finding ways to continue building on our strengths. One thing I strongly believe is that clear is kind. People may not always agree on every decision, but homeowners should know what is happening, understand the why behind decisions, and feel like their voices are heard. I would work to bring that type of transparency while communicating with grace, respect, and care for people. As a school administrator, I have learned that leadership starts with listening. I work with people with different experiences, opinions, and needs every day, and I understand the responsibility that comes with making decisions that affect others. I love the community we already have in The Groves, and I would be grateful for the opportunity to serve, listen, and help us continue growing together.
Sylvia Stuckey

I am seeking the opportunity to serve our community through The Groves HOA and contribute to the continued growth, safety, and sense of community that make our neighborhood a great place to call home. As a Humble resident for 19 years, a longtime homeowner, and a Humble ISD employee for 18 years, I care deeply about our community and the place we call home. In my professional role as a secondary campus principal, I have developed experience in leadership, collaboration, problem-solving, and making thoughtful decisions that balance the needs and perspectives of many different people. I would bring that same approach to serving our neighborhood. I believe a strong community is one where residents feel heard and connected, shared spaces are well maintained, property values are protected, and there is a sense of pride in where we live. I value transparent communication, responsible decision-making, fiscal stewardship, and collaboration with residents. If selected to serve, I will listen to the concerns and ideas of our neighbors, ask thoughtful questions, and work collaboratively to make decisions that serve the best interests of our community. As a homeowner and active member of our community, I am committed to helping preserve The Groves as a safe, attractive, welcoming, and well-managed neighborhood for homeowners, families, children, and responsible residents.I am running because homeowners deserve a Board that listens, communicates clearly, responds promptly, and applies community rules fairly and consistently.
