Amenities

In addition to the 64 acres of preserved forest, nearly 5,000 reforested trees, 85 acres of open space and 68 acres of Madera Creek, The Groves offers an endless supply of imaginative amenities just outside your door. 
 
THE CIRCUIT & MT GROVES
The Circuit Park is the newest park to The Groves and is the start of your fitness journey.  This Circuit Park features various fitness stations such as stretching, balance beam, crunches, bars, pull-ups, and high bars among others.  Central to The Circuit will be a yoga lawn with a wood deck for an instructor to get our residents in their best state of mind through yoga lessons.  Interactive signage will be placed throughout teaching you different yoga poses and ways to use each fitness station.
 
The Groves has Mt. Groves and Adventure Fitness Obstacle Course, which is on the opposite end of your fitness journey. The custom-built obstacle course from Adventure Fitness will include an ROTC/Seal training obstacle such as the Double-Sided Traverse Wall, High Monkey Bars, Rope Climb, and Confidence Climb. Mt. Groves sits nearly 20 feet above ground level at a 10:1 slope allowing for a 200-foot incline to the peak and will feature hill incline exercises and a hilltop marker as part of this fitness circuit.  Mt. Groves will also feature a timed element that will really get your sense of competition in gear.
THE NEST
The Nest is located inside the section by Albright Grove and Timber Forest Drive. Created with an element that perches atop a mounded hill for children to explore, The Nest is accessed by climbing up the hill or the cargo net. Inside the nest are life-sized bird eggs to sit, stand or play on. The idea is to spark children’s imagination of exploring what it would be like to be a bird. 
 
With an open lawn area with picnic tables and Adirondack chairs, there are plenty of trails to explore and discover nature. Speaking of nature, small multicolored Stone Totems will be added as part of our signature Art in Nature elements.
 
Soccer Pool
Eight ball, corner pocket. One aspect of the new park will be Soccer Pool! With this fun twist on pool, residents stand inside the game and use a soccer ball as a cue ball to kick their stripes or solids in the pockets.
THE HEARTH POOL
Take in the natural beauty at the resort-style pool, perfect for weekend lounging. 
 
The 2024 Pool Season is from April 19th through October 13th. 
 
Monday – Closed for cleaning (Will be open for Memorial Day and Labor Day) 
Tuesday – 5:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
Wednesday – 5:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
Thursday – No Lap Swimming (Closed for Cleaning) Opens back up from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
Friday – 5:00 a.m 9:00 p.m.
Saturday – 5:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
Sunday – 5:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
 
Lap swimming is reserved from 5:00 am - 9:00 am. 
*Please note that all pool times are subject to change for additional cleanings.*
 
REMINDER: All residents 13 & up must wear their green pool wristband when enjoying the community pool. If you have misplaced your pool wristbands, you may purchase an additional band. As a reminder, only four (4) guests per household are allowed to accompany residents to the pool and will need to wear the guest pool wristbands. If you have not received your guest pool wristbands you will need to email Marian Kelley to schedule a time to pick up your 4 guest wristbands. Residents must remain with guests at all times. 
 
LIFESTYLE CENTER
Get outside at the Lifestyle Center with activities such as foosball, ping pong, and lawn games. Hang out around the fire pit or explore one of the many trails that leads you through the woods. Residents can enjoy grilling with neighbors or reading a book from our Free Little Library.
 
Inside the Lifestyle Center, you will find games are all ages, a coffee and tea bar, a shuffleboard table, work-from-home stations, and lounging areas.

FITNESS CENTER
Equip with machines such as the Tour de France Bike and Helix Lateral Trainer, the Fitness Center is the perfect place to get in your sweat session. Work on your goals no matter how big or small with free weights and mats for stretching.

SPLASH PAD & NATURE PLAY
Located outside the Lifestyle Center, the Splash Pad and Playground exemplify the essence of life in the woods. The Nature Play playground incorporates wood recycled from our own trees. Open seasonally from April through October; the Splash Pad features a splash area and water play elements.

FISH CAMP
For outdoor fun, head to Fish Camp, our stocked pond for catch-and-release fishing, a dock, and an entertainment space. Stocked with catfish and bass, we ask that residents use only barbless hooks and stainless steel weights.

DISCOVERY SQUARE
This park offers innovative park elements including mirrored stumps, a dragon swing, picnic tables in the trees, a group spinner, and art within nature pieces.

EXPLORATION TRAILS
Residents can take a walk down Exploration Trails where they can play in a teepee frame and climb on a rock pile. Take a break to check out the scavenger hunt and find all the colored animal statues!

MADERA CREEK TRAILS
With more than 10 miles of tranquil trails, The Groves make it easy to integrate your everyday life with nature. With new, interactive signage strategically placed along our trails, experiencing nature is more educational than ever. Take a stroll and use our community trail map to guide you every step of the way.
 
THE HEARTH PAVILION
Enjoy a welcoming, oversized hearth fireplace complete with cozy bistro seating and soft festoon lighting. Mingle-worthy, extra-long picnic tables, an expansive lawn with hammock lounging areas, assorted yard games, and Adirondack chairs overlooking Madera Creek round out its offerings. Accented by majestic pine and oak trees, The Hearth’s breathtaking beauty sets a serene scene for luxurious outdoor relaxation.

MINI GROVES
Designed exclusively for its younger residents, Mini Groves is a smaller, park version of the community. This fun (and extremely adorable) amenity features key elements for children to explore, including a toddler adventure playground.
